Guia Fortress

  The historical Guia Fortress is seated atop Guia Hill, the highest hill on the Macao Peninsula. Built circa 1637 to 1638, the Fortress had served as a fortification against foreign aggression and a coastal lookout. It formed a strong outer defense line with the Barra Fortress along the coastal waters.
