Rotunda de Carlos da Maia, also known as the “Three Lamps”, is a circular plaza in the Parish of Santo Antnio in Macao. It is located in a centennial old district and opens to five streets in its surroundings. There is a raised ground in the middle of the plaza with a classic three-light lamp post as the centrepiece, from which its other name, “Three Lamps”, is derived. The plaza is nowadays a popular leisure space and an important landmark of the district, embellished with Portuguese cobblestone pavement and fitted with fence and benches.
